All About Vault Kits!!

If you’ve ever browsed the Vault section of the PlannerKate website and wondered what exactly is a vault kit? — today’s post is for you! We’re taking a deep dive into everything vault kits: what they are, what sheets change (and which stay the same), how to shop them, storage ideas, and plenty of planner inspiration along the way.

Whether you’re brand new to vault kits or a longtime PK fan looking to revisit old favorites, there’s something so fun about bringing these classic designs back into your planner lineup.

What Is a Vault Kit?

Vault kits are re-released PlannerKate kits from past collections. They give you a chance to shop older designs you may have missed the first time around — or revisit a favorite kit all over again!

Vault kits are typically released every Friday and are usually seasonally appropriate, making them perfect for planning ahead while still enjoying nostalgic PK favorites.

One of the best parts about vault kits is their flexibility. You can purchase:

  • The full bundle (all available sheets in the collection)

  • Individual sheets a la carte

That means you can customize your kit exactly how you like it depending on your planner style and sticker needs.

Breaking Down the Vault Kit Sheets

Every vault kit includes 6 core sheets, and occasionally there’s an additional deco sheet available as Sheet G. Let’s take a closer look at each one!

Sheet A: Full Boxes

Sheet A contains the full decorative boxes that bring your spread to life with beautiful prints and artwork.

This sheet may change slightly depending on when the original kit was first released. Some older kits may feature boxes that are slightly taller or shorter than current formats, but the overall structure stays the same: gorgeous full boxes designed to add personality and color to your planner spreads.

Sheet B: Washi Strips

Sheet B is one of the most versatile sheets in the collection — and this one stays consistent no matter what year the original kit was released.

You’ll receive:

  • 2 sets of standard washi

  • 2 sets of thin washi

  • 3 sets of super skinny solid washi

These are perfect for layering, dividing sections, decorating dashboards, or adding pops of coordinating color throughout your planner.

Sheet C: Sampler

The sampler sheet includes a mix of decorative and functional stickers and will vary based on the year the original kit was released.

Typically, you can expect:

  • A full box

  • A weekend banner

  • Functional labels and icons

Since sampler layouts have evolved over the years, this sheet gives each vault kit its own unique little piece of PlannerKate history.

Sheet D: MYO (Make Your Own) Monthly

Sheet D stays the same across all vault kits and is designed specifically for customizable monthly spreads.

This sheet includes:

  • Wide strip headers for monthly pages

  • Individual day-of-the-week stickers

  • Date dots

  • Labels

  • Thin washi

The individual weekday stickers make it easy to start your month on whichever day works best for your planner setup.

Sheet E: Labels Sheet

Another consistent sheet across all vault kits is Sheet E — the labels sheet.

You’ll find:

  • 3 solid labels

  • 8 basic labels

  • Skinny appointment labels

  • Standard appointment labels

  • Larger labels

This sheet is packed with functional essentials that work beautifully across many planner styles and layouts.

Sheet F: Individual Headers

Sheet F includes individual headers designed to work in a wide variety of planners.

This sheet can vary depending on when the original kit was released. The overall functionality remains similar, but the fonts and styling may reflect the original release year of the kit.

Optional Sheet G: Deco

Some vault kits also include an optional Sheet G deco page, though not every kit has this add-on available.

When included, deco sheets are perfect for:

  • White space planning

  • Layering

  • Journaling spreads

  • Extra decorative touches

If a vault kit includes deco, you’ll see it listed as Sheet G on the product page.
