Welcome back to Fan Friday, where we love getting to know the planners behind the pages! Today we're featuring Allison Clayborn from Arkansas, a longtime planner who has turned her love of functional planning into a creative weekly ritual—and even a YouTube channel dedicated to sharing her daily planning spreads.
Allison has been a planner for as long as she can remember. Even back in high school, she carried a paper planner! Her journey into decorative planning began in 2016 when her oldest child started kindergarten and her schedule began to change. She picked up some Happy Planner stickers from Hobby Lobby, and, as so many of us can relate to, things quickly escalated from there! ✨
Today, Allison describes her planning style as decorative + functional. She loves filling her pages with beautiful stickers, but every sticker needs to serve a purpose. With a full-time corporate career, three active kids, two pets, and plenty of volunteer commitments through her church and schools, she has plenty to keep track of!

Planning That Works as Hard as She Does
Allison currently uses an Erin Condren Daily Duo, which she has customized by uncoiling and recoiling it into four-month sections with additional notes pages. Her planning has evolved quite a bit since those early days of colored pens. These days, beautiful sticker kits cover much of her pages—but functionality is still the priority.
That's one of the reasons she loves PlannerKate stickers. The combination of beautiful designs, repositionable stickers, and functional options allows her to decorate her entire planner while keeping everything coordinated.
“There are a lot of options so I can sticker my whole planner and everything will still match.”
And when it comes to sizing, Allison appreciates that PlannerKate stickers are designed to fit the spaces they're intended for perfectly. 🙌
Her current PlannerKate favorites include the new LEGACY colorway stickers and BW Icons, but it's safe to say she has plenty of favorites to choose from!
Making Every Day Unique
Allison primarily uses stickers throughout her daily and weekly spreads, where she enjoys making each day feel a little different. For her, planning isn't just about creating a pretty page—it's about building a system that helps her manage everything happening in her busy life.
And that balance between creativity and functionality is exactly what has made planning such an enjoyable hobby for her.
One of her favorite parts of the process is sitting down each week for some dedicated “me time.” What might look like a lot of information on paper is actually something she finds fun, calming, and relaxing.
Her August Planning Setup
For this Fan Friday feature, Allison is sharing her August monthly setups, and she's created a system that gives her several different ways to keep everything organized.
Her setup includes:
A PlannerKate perpetual calendar that she uses to keep track of social media planning
A monthly calendar dedicated to family activities
A productivity dashboard for lists, habits, goals, and all those other details that need a home
It's a great example of how one planning system can serve multiple areas of life while still feeling cohesive and functional. 📅✨

From Planner to YouTube Creator
Allison's love of daily planning eventually inspired her to start her own YouTube channel, @dailydoseofplanning. After noticing that there weren't many options available for daily planning spreads, she decided to create the kind of content she wanted to see.
We love that idea!
Her channel gives her another way to share her planning process and connect with other people who enjoy the same hobby. And judging by her planning philosophy, we're guessing you'll find plenty of functional inspiration alongside the pretty pages.
Here's one of her latest videos:
Say Hello to Allison! 👋
Beyond her planner, Allison is a wife, mom of three, pet mom to two, full-time corporate professional, and an active volunteer with her church and schools. Through planning, she's also discovered something equally valuable: community.
“I've met so many new friends in the planner community so far!”
We couldn't agree more that one of the very best parts of this hobby is the people we meet along the way. 💕
Thank you, Allison, for sharing your planning journey, your August setups, and a little peek into the system that helps you balance such a full life!
